“Kore Dozo!” said Fuko as she hands out wood carvings of starfish to fellow students in her school in the hope that they will attend her sister’s wedding. Fuko is my favourite Clannad girl though I know some of you might find her to be annoying. I ready admire her determination. Her goofiness and childlike innocence is so adorable as well. I also love how in the later episodes she will suddenly pops up from nowhere to help her friends but finds that she is of not much help at all. ^^
I was influenced by abao to watch the anime. I’m glad I did as this is one of the best animes I have seen in a long time. I was captivated by its character driven storyline and humour. The first half of the series which showcase Fuko and Kotomi’s arc was very touching and it kept me wanting to see more.
Was not a big fan of Nagisa so the second half of the series does not appeal to me much. But last Thursday’s final episode was light hearted. Sunohara’s sister Mei’s cameo in this episode was wonderful. Her attempts to help Okazaki and Nagisa in their relationship were funny. I laughed. The only regret was that Fuko did not appear in the last few episodes. I was kinda disappointed. But nevertheless a sequel is already in the works and I look forward to seeing it (and more of Fuko) in future. Click here to read more of this entry
